Androgyny is the possession of both masculine and feminine characteristics in humans. Androgyny may be expressed with regard to biological sex, gender identity, or gender expression. It is an often overlooked or even sidelined individual dilemma to many, their family and society.
Somatism is materialism, interest in and desire for money, possessions, etc, rather than interpersonal, spiritual or ethical values. It is a major concern to many families' in an ever increasingly vulnerable world.
Somatization or 'Somatic Symptom Disorder' is an increasingly worrisome syndrome in the wake of virtuality. It occurs when a person feels extreme, exaggerated anxiety about physical symptoms. So much so that the person has intense thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to the symptoms, that they feel they cannot carry-on some of the activities of daily life.
Psychosomatic disorder is a psychological condition involving the occurrence of physical symptoms, usually lacking a medical explanation. Almost all of us have, at times, experienced these types of symptoms, often in reaction to stress or anxiety more so in light of prevailing pandemic and global climate changes.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders of childhood. It is usually first diagnosed in childhood and often lasts into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active.
Gamophobia is the fear of being in a committed relationship. It is an ever increasing problem caused by a mixture of genetic influences, family background, and past experiences. The condition can negatively affect a person's life and may lead to loneliness or isolation, needing pressing intervention and counseling.
Marital breakdown is when relationship between married couples erodes, such that they cannot ordinarily restore their relationship. Children are the forgotten victims of such. The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple's relationship and integrates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory.
Grief is love and the confusion caused by not knowing how to love someone who is gone. It is love's frustration, bitterness, anger, and resentment at death's destruction. Grief is the response to loss, particularly to the loss of someone or some living thing that has died, to which a bond or affection was formed. Although conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, grief also has important physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, cultural, spiritual and philosophical dimensions.
Bipolarity is often when you're fluctuating between a depressive episodes (sleep problems; appetite issues; loss of energy, interest and pleasure; decreased concentration, etc.). Bipolarity may worsen with age if this condition is left untreated. As time goes on, a person may experience episodes that are more severe and more frequent than when symptoms first appeared.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead you to do repetitive behaviors (compulsions). These obsessions and compulsions interfere with daily activities and cause significant distress.
